Patch 100 PAD This patch data consists of 100 sound patches. Let's hear the 8 sound samples. Demo Song Cotton Wool A beautiful and very expressive analog pad whose sonic characteristics vary based on velocity sensitivity. This is a great example to show how versatile one single SH-201 patch can be and how 'analog' the SH-201 filters sound. Soundtrack A classic from the D-50 era revisited by the SH-201 in pure analog style.
The Choir Before the existence of samplers, analog synthesizers were used to emulate choirs by processing sawtooth oscillators through heavy low-passed filters with high resonance. How did it sound? Like this SH-201 patch, typically. Reso Sweep The SH-201 filters in action again. This filter sweep peaks with howling resonance. The stereo effect comes from the delay programmed as a chorus (those settings are only available from the Editor). Pulsatron A low-frequency oscillator drives the filter-cutoff frequency into pulsating beats that are in sync with the delay section.
Bonobo recently teased us with first single 'Cirrus' and have now announced 'The North Borders' - His follow-up to 2010's 'Black Sands'. Dusty beats, sound arrangements like no other and vocal guests only the best can match, Bonobo is a serious force in the instrumental/beats/alternative scene. Be sure to grab a pre-order from the link below (MP3, WAV, CD and Vinyl - what more can you ask for?) and check out the video for 'Cirrus'. Download bonobo the north borders zip.
Great fun to play! 201vsJP8000 The Super Saw waveform originally comes from the classic JP-8000 and represents the epitome of electronic dance music.
The Super Saw waveform is currently found in two Roland synthesizers: the flagship V-Synth and the SH-201! Crystalize An eerie pad with metallic upper frequencies, this patch shows how the SH-201 is at ease rendering unusual-yet-playable synthetic sounds, here with the help of the ring modulator. A journey into the Super Saw ocean, this patch is adrift in lush-sounding Super Saw waves! Download SH-201_Patch_PAD.zip (44KB) To download, right click and select 'Save Target As'.
The download file contains the 'SH-201 Librarian File' and the 'Patch List'.
Fantom Patches by Nathan Sheldon - Free Patches - Free () Patch Name Description Requirements MP3 Demo MIDI Install File SOUND EFFECTS Air Raid Simulates a World War II era American air raid siren. Use pitch bend to simulate power-down and back up condition. Key release simulates a power-down of the siren. Any Fantom-S or Fantom-X. No expansions required. The Fan Simulates an electric home oscillating floor fan (more specifically the one I own). Lower keys simulate slower fan speed, while higher keys simulate higher fan speed.
This patch is really just meant to demonstrate the power of the XV synth engine (the engine used in the Fantom). No samples are used, honest. Any Fantom-S or Fantom-X. No expansions required. Ambulance Simulates an ambulance siren (as commonly heard in the US).
System Controller 1 (usually modulation) increases the perceived distance of the ambulance to the listener (by increasing reverb and decreasing volume). System Controller 2 (usually aftertouch) increases the siren modulation rate so it sounds like the siren speeds up as System Controller 2 value increases. System Controller 4 (usually breath) controls right panning as the controller value increases (system controller 3 was not used).
Any Fantom-S or Fantom-X. No expansions required.
TECHNO SYNTHESIZERS SuperSaw1 A very bright trance saw emulating saw tooth-based virtual analog synth pads on the Roland JP-8000 and heard most often in popular trance genre music Any Fantom-S or Fantom-X. No expansions required.
